Black and white side on portrait of Danielle East ART taking a photo with a large format camera

Danielle grew up in the Chiltern Hills, where she gained her Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at BCUC in2004 and her BA (HONS) Fine Art degree at Kent Institute of Art and Design in 2007.

After graduating and she worked at The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, applying her love of process to in house workshops.

The move to Norfolk in 2015, and then with Covid gave her the opportunity to experiment and pursue her love of art and photographic processes.

Danielle currently uses the process of Cyanotype, a simple photographic process using sunlight to create a distinctive Cyan blue and white image.  Seeking inspiration from the Norfolk countryside and coastline, incorporating living artefacts- plants and found objects.
